Terms of service.
This agreement is between you ("you", "your", "participant") and The Sacred Descent ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Felice Langkamp and Oana Ratiu. By submitting an application and making payment, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Definitions
"We", "us" and "our" refers to The Sacred Descent and its facilitators. "You" or "your" refers to the retreat participant. "Website" refers to thesacreddescentworld.com. "Retreat" refers to The Sacred Descent, 21st–25th October 2026, Viluz Wellbeing Resort, Marbella, Spain.
2. Pricing
The retreat investment covers accommodation, all meals, and the full programme as described on our website. Not included are flights, travel to and from Málaga Airport beyond the complimentary shared shuttle, personal spending, visa fees, travel insurance, or additional spa treatments booked separately.
We reserve the right to amend prices at any time before your booking is confirmed and payment received. Once payment has been made, your price is fixed.
3. Payment
A deposit is required to secure your place, with the remaining balance payable according to the payment plan agreed between you and us at the time of booking. Payment plans are agreed individually and confirmed in writing. We accept bank transfer and card payments. Card payments may be subject to a processing fee.
Your place is not confirmed until your deposit has been received.
4. Booking Confirmation
Upon receipt of your deposit you will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours, followed by a welcome email containing your intake form, wardrobe guide, and pack list. Please check all details carefully and contact us immediately if anything appears incorrect.
5. Cancellation by You
You may cancel your booking at any time by notifying us in writing to sacreddescentretreat@gmail.com. Cancellation takes effect on the date we receive your written notification.
Cancellation more than 45 days before the retreat start date: 75% refund of the total amount paid.
Cancellation 30–45 days before the retreat: 50% refund.
Cancellation within 30 days of the retreat: 25% refund, or you may transfer this credit to a future retreat offering.
No refunds will be given for unused portions of the retreat once it has begun. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation for any reason.
6. Cancellation or Changes by Us
We reserve the right to make changes to the programme, facilitators, schedule, or other arrangements where necessary. Where significant changes become unavoidable, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible.
We reserve the right to cancel the retreat if a minimum number of participants is not reached. In this event, a full refund will be issued. We are not responsible for any associated travel or accommodation costs you may have incurred.
We do not accept liability for cancellations, delays, or changes caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to war, civil unrest, terrorist activity, natural disaster, pandemic, extreme weather, or transport failure. We will always endeavour to find reasonable solutions in such circumstances.
7. Your Health & Wellbeing
By booking this retreat you confirm that you are in a suitable state of physical and mental health to participate. You are responsible for informing us of any health conditions, injuries, or circumstances that may affect your participation before your place is confirmed.
This retreat involves somatic and body-based practices including breathwork, movement, and emotional processing work. These practices are not advised for those currently in acute mental health crisis, those with certain cardiovascular conditions, or those under clinical supervision for serious psychiatric conditions. If you are unsure whether this retreat is appropriate for your current health situation, please consult your doctor before booking.
We reserve the right to advise you to step back from certain activities in the interests of your safety, or to decline your place on the retreat if we believe participation would not be appropriate for your wellbeing or that of other participants.
You are entirely responsible for your own personal safety, health, and wellbeing during and after the retreat. By booking, you release The Sacred Descent, its facilitators, and its organisers from any liability for injury or damage — physical or mental — that may arise during or after the retreat.
Breathwork may result in intense physical and emotional release. It is not advised for those with a history of cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy or seizure disorders, severe osteoporosis, recent surgery, or those who are pregnant. If you have asthma, please bring your inhaler and consult your doctor before attending.
Women who are 12 to 28 weeks pregnant must provide written confirmation from their healthcare provider that they are fit to travel and participate.
8. Age Restriction
This retreat is open to participants aged 18 and over only. By booking, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
9. Your Behaviour
You are responsible for your own conduct throughout the retreat. We reserve the right to ask any participant to leave if their behaviour causes distress, danger, or disruption to other participants or to the integrity of the container. No refund will be issued in this event.
10. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses, personal injury, and lost belongings before travelling to the retreat. The decision to purchase travel insurance is your own responsibility.
11. Personal Belongings
You are responsible for your personal belongings at all times. The Sacred Descent and Viluz Wellbeing Resort accept no liability for loss or damage to personal property during the retreat.
12. Photography
Professional photography will take place during the retreat. All images will be shared with participants before being published online. If there is an image you would prefer not to be shared, we will honour that request. Your photography preferences are confirmed at the time of booking.
13. Privacy & Data
Your personal information is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at thesacreddescentworld.com. We do not share your personal data with third parties beyond those directly involved in delivering the retreat — namely our co-facilitator and our venue partner, Viluz Wellbeing Resort.
Any health or wellbeing information you disclose is collected solely to ensure your safety and is handled with strict confidentiality.
14. Complaints
If you have a complaint during the retreat, please raise it with us immediately so we have the opportunity to address it. Complaints must also be submitted in writing to sacreddescentretreat@gmail.com within 28 days of the retreat end date.
